Abstract

This presentation explores the journey from learning to real-world impact, highlighting how data analytics skills acquired at SAIT can be applied to solve practical problems. Thorough hands-on projects and real-live case studies, we demonstrate how raw data is transformed into actionable insights using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and modern platforms.

We will share key experiences, challenges, and lessons during the transition from training to implementation, emphasizing the importance of data storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and continuous learning. The session concludes with reflections on career growth, opportunities in the data field, and how aspiring analysts can position themselves to create meaningful impact in today's data-driven world.

Lynda Nzurumike

Lynda is a data analyst and Business Intelligence professional specializing in designing and delivering data-driven solutions that support performance reporting and operational intelligence. She has experience in Power BI, SQL, DAX, data modeling, ETL pipeline development, and multi-source data integration. Currently is preparing for the Certified Data Management Practitioner CDMP certification.

Fasika Mulu Nega

Fasika has academic background in Economics and is currently specializing in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. She is also gaining hands-on experience as a data analyst student in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, DAX, data modeling, and ETL pipeline development,. Fascika is working toward the Certified Data Management Practitioner CDMP certification.

Ifeanyi Izibili

Ifeanyi is a Data and Business Intelligence analyst with a strong background in business analysis. She excels at bridging the gap between technical data work and business strategy, helping teams unlock value, streamline, and improve processes using tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, and data engineering tools.
